Pre App - Work Placement Host Information
Thank you for agreeing to be part of the Automotive Institute of Technology’s (AIT) Pre-Apprenticeship Program for the following year. You have agreed to host a pre-apprentice in your workplace for the duration of their studies. In accordance with State Government Department Guidelines, VET & VETiS program Host Employers are required to provide evidence of their Public Liability Insurance. In accordance with State Government Department Guidelines, VET & VETiS program Host Employers are required to provide evidence of their Public Liability Insurance. Host Employer Public Liability Insurance Cover Outline Students are covered by the host employers Public Liability Insurance if an injury to their person is deemed the fault of the host employer. Any damage to property, regardless of fault, is also covered by the host employers Public Liability Insurance. AIT Voluntary Workers Insurance Cover Outline If personal injury is deemed the fault of the student they are covered by the AIT’s Voluntary Workers Insurance issued by Nexus Risk Services. Our current policy details will be emailed at the time with student placement confirmation.
